Steps
- Step 1: Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take one deep breath.
- Step 2: Notice sensations in your shoulders and let them relax.
- Step 3: Breathe slowly through your nose for 4 seconds — hold — exhale for 6 seconds.
- Step 4: Continue for 1 minute. End by opening your eyes gently.

Tips & variations
If you find your mind wandering, gently bring attention back to your breath. You can also do this lying down or with background music.
